Looking for a little excitement? Join a committee!

We have some great opportunities for you to get involved in the MCHBA. Read through the committee descriptions, and then give the committee chairperson a call. We welcome your time and expertise. In return, you’ll have a lot of fun, work hard, make a difference in the Association, and meet some great people!

Building Committee
The focus of the committee was to locate land for a new office building. Now the committee must get a building designed and fund-raising in order.
Governmental Affairs
This committee monitors local, state, and national elections, issues and legislation and recommends to the Board of Directors position the Association should take. This committee should help manage the annual Auction fundraiser for Build PAC. The chairs also should attend WBA state meetings.
Home Show
This committee organizes and implements the annual Home Show in March. They work out the budget for the show and report it to the finance committee.
Membership Services Committee
This committee promotes membership growth, retention, and recruitment. The committee schedules speakers for general membership meetings and also provides education opportunities and safety-related information for the members. Events that fall under this committee are: Golf Outing, Bowl-a-Thon, and Sporting Clays.
Parade of Homes
This committee organizes and plans the annual Parade of Homes in June. The committee is made up of the builders that are participating in the Parade and associate members.
Public Relations
They develop a PR program to enhance the positive image of the association to members and the public. They are responsible for identifying community service projects and other committee’s activities that need to be publicized. This chair also attends the WBA state meetings.
Remodelors Council
This council is for anyone involved in remodeling. They belong to the NAHB and WBA Remodelers Councils also. Locally this committee looks for ways to enhance and educate remodelers.
Spring Radio Show
This committee is responsible for arranging speakers and advertisers for the 12 programs on WOMT
